(1) install Fink 0.8.1 XYZ Installer.pkg
(2) install FinkCommander GUI application

lauch FinkCommander GUI application
(1) Source->scanpackages
(2) Source->Utilities->index

ex: install ethereal
(1) find ethereal from FinkCommander GUI application
(2) Binary->Install
(3) install AquaEthereal, which provides a convenient way to launch ethereal in Mac OSX
